U.S. passes first big global warming legislation in 10 years

House lawmakers voted to block President Trump from abandoning the Paris Agreement on climate change and to require his administration to devise a plan to cut America’s greenhouse gas emissions.

The measure, which passed 231 to 190, stands virtually no chance of approval in the Republican-controlled Senate. What is so unbelievable about the news is that it "stands virtually no chance of approval in the Republican-controlled Senate." Do you mean to tell me that he majority of Republican senators agree with the president that global warming is a hoax? And I see that 190 Representatives - are they all Republicans? - agreed with him too. We're going to hell, degree by degree. Our legislators are fiddling while the world burns.
